One at a Time...

Why is it that I always tend to start several projects at once? Currently, my projects include:

Cleaning/Organizing the Garage

Trying to organize my disheveled office... for some reason, this has been the hardest task. Why? Because ever since this pregnancy started, anything office makes me nauseous. Will this go away? I always used to make fun of my sister when she was pregnant with her second and would complain of anything scrapbook- oriented making her nauseous. She LOVED scrapbooking before and couldn't stand it during her pregnancy. (Update: Her love of scrapbooking came back a few months after she had the baby...)

The laundry room- It's quite the wreck right now. Isn't this laundry room so cheery? I think a laundry room like this would actually make me want to do laundry. And the best part about it is that there's not much to it! Just a little organization, pretty wallpaper, and voila!

This is cute too. Easy look to achieve.

And the most tedious project? Tackling the kitchen... Going to repaint/refinish the cabinets, flooring, and island... Not sure exactly what I want yet! Why is it so stressful? It's just a kitchen! Would I ever have the guts to redo my kitchen like this one? I love it... but just not for my house... I mean, I think....

I better stop blogging and get to work!

These are all huge projects to tackle...aren't you suppose to be resting;^) Please don't stress and just take it one step at a time. Beautiful pictures...now I want a pretty laundry room like that! Have a good day Sweetie.

Oh I feel the same way! Never do I have just ONE project, always several, always stressed, never finished- what a pain. It is so very normal for you to want to get all of these things accomplished- you're nesting :o) Now, what's my excuse?? lol.

Good luck with everything and remember, if it doesn't all get done it's not the end of the world- it'll happen eventually. Off to take my own advice...

ps. that kitchen looks like a "before" in my opinion, yuck... but to each her own ;)

You sound so much like me! I have so many projects started! It gets overwhelming at times! Be careful and rest some! When are you due!? You probably are nesting!

I think everyone I know is in the organize and purge mode.I'm right there with ya. I started the boys' room, pantry, garage, storage shed and of course my workroom. NONE of it is done!

Sometimes when I think of all the projects around my home that I need to do I feel overwhelmed. I think that taking the "one at a time" approach is definately do-able! :)

well, maybe is not the time for big projects. just keep cool and try to put your feet up whenever possible. maybe now is just the time for daydreaming. :)

I love your style! I am so glad I stumbled upon your blog. I always have many projects going at once. I think it is a trait of many junkers!

I absolutely love the laundry rooms, but especially your comments! Too funny, and I agree, I could easily do laundry in a LR that looked like that! Thanks for a lovely post. Elizabeth.
