Barely a Minute to Spare!

I have been so busy this weekend that I have barely had a minute to get on the computer! Mother's Day was wonderful- it is one of those holidays that I think should get even more attention than it already does! I sent this sampler to my mom this year because she loves the country/americana/rustic style. Her home is just beautiful! I am so excited to be joining her (and my dad) this June! I can barely wait! I do love where I am now (San Francisco) but I am ready to settle down in an actual home with a yard and normal neighbors! If you've been to San Francisco, then you know what I'm talking about! I will, however, miss the diversity and opportunity that the big city brings, but I think I have lived my fair share of years in big cities and am ready to live in a suburban surrounding once again! Not to mention, Southern California has tons of antique shopping and flea markets!

This is last week's finished project. I love the wire mesh sides. Bought it at a garage sale for $12! Couldn't pass that up!

I wish you all could see my downstairs bedroom right now. You would laugh your heads off! It is just full of projects, furniture for the "new" home (that we don't even have yet), Shabby Addict products, some packed boxes, GALORE! Help! Make it be June already! But at the same time, I don't want Spring to go by too fast, so I am trying to enjoy every minute of my last month in this San Francisco apartment.

I would have bought that table too, it's beautiful! I know what you mean about living in San Francisco. My son's dad lives there so my son would go back and forth between there and the south bay. I hate driving there...it's crazy! My son loved living there though...I'm more of suburb person. I like to see lawns and more greenery. It's a great place to visit though!

Finding a new home will be so exciting! I searched for a year before I found this house. I love coming up with new things for it. I'm just waiting for it to get a little warmer so I can take some things outside to start painting them a creamy white. I've never done that before and can't wait to see how it turns out!

Temeculah sounds great! Have fun going antique shopping!

That table is too cute. I think moving can be so exciting, starting over with a new house. You must be so anxious. I can't wait to see pictures of your new home.

Hugs,
LeAnn :)

Tracy,
I picked your blog up from LeeAnn at Pink Icing On The Cake and I just love to visit and look at the treasures you find.I am so jealous of the shops in California, I especially loved Picket Fences. I own an antique shop in Michigan, so visit me online if you can. I would love to hear from you.

Oh my gosh...that table is gorgeous!!! Wonderful paint job. Do you mind me asking what the paint color is?? I love the fact that it's not bright white.

Love it!

Hi Tracy :)

My husband is in the active Army. He's just about to retire, but has been overseas over 5 times (before I met him). Right now he's a recruiter. Not a popular thing to be doing right now.

How funny that you went to my mom's old store! The sell more low key stuff now and mom didn't sell surf stuff, but it's basically the same :)

I love your new find! Good luck with your move :)

What a gorgeous table! Isn't moving exciting? It's always saddening to leave a current home (I always cry), but the tears normally don't last long once I remember that it's also an opportunity to start over. I'm sure that you'll abosolutely love decorating your soon-to-be house. :-)
