How the Time Flies!

Can anyone else believe that we are almost through with November already? Where is the time going?? I can't believe how fast the end of the year always flies.. It seems like just yesterday I was last on blogger but looking at that date it has already been 3 weeks! I guess it just wouldn't be considered "The Holidays" without time flying the way it does.

On to more important things... like my chandelier project ; ) I am almost through; just adding the finishing touches and hanging a few more prisms here and there. I have to admit, I actually am pretty unhappy with the base color I chose. Originally I was going to go light blue/aqua-ish, then I changed my mind to white, but then I decided to combine the white and blue and do a powdered blue/white chandelier distressed look. I wish I would have stuck with the white. It took my hubby quite some time to hang it back up and rewire it, so I don't think I will be asking him to take it back down anytime soon!! I may have to paint it while it's hanging up there... I'm kind of OCD like that- if I am not completely satisfied with something, I have to change it right away or it will just bug the life out of me!! I still have to paint the cord anyway, so I may as well fix the base too!

Before:
After:
And on to even more important things...

My husband, sister, and her boyfriend all went to Disneyland last week and it certainly was magical as always! I love going to Disneyland during the holiday season because the whole park is decorated beautifully! We went on a Friday and it was WONDerful! No lines at all! Our longest wait was about 10 minutes- it was the d-land trip to die for!

Sleeping Beauty's magical Castle decorated for the holidays...

The Haunted Mansion all spruced up for the holidays...I just love the way the Haunted Mansion decorates for the holidays because they keep the overall "dark and creepy" feel while still adding holiday fun.
There were wreath swags all over the park in all different colors and themes.
This tree was SUPER tall and all decked out with beautiful bulbs and lights.
Please excuse our nastiness in this picture... we had just gotten off Splash Mountain an hour earlier and were SOAKed! My hair never completely dried until the drive home!

Just to give you an idea of how wet you get on Splash Mountain (if you are "lucky") see my sister below:

If you haven't been this season and you live in Southern California, go simply just to see all the decorations and to eat a warm and yummy apple fritter!

LOL! THat is a funny pic of your sister in front of the Splash Mountain sign. Your Chandelier project turned out really nice! I can understand something buggin' ya until you fix it up just the way you like it. I'm the same way. It looks great, but you need to have it the way you like it cuz you are looking at it in your home.

I'm really loving yourly newly distressed chandelier. I have a similar one in my dining room, but it's silver and I've been thinking of painting it white and adding prisms live you've done. Did you spray paint it or brush paint it? Also, where did you get all the prisms?

Looks like you guys had a great time at Disney. I'm super jealous -our highs have only been in the low 30's here in Indy. What i'd give to be able to where short sleeved shirts again. :)

I think your chandelier looks lovely but if you're like me it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks- It'll drive you crazy until you fix it, lol!

You're so lucky to be close to Disneyland, that would be so much fun. You and your sister are beautiful- wet hair and all! Hope you have a great week!

Love your chandelier....I painted one pink and don't really care for it either.
It needs something but I have not figured it out yet.

Lol! The Splash Mountain pic is funny. Disneyland is so awesome! Even as an adult I love it, plus it's fun to hang out in downtown Disney after. Oh, the chandelier is gorgeous, you really brought out it's beauty by painting it. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Oh, you make me so homesick for D'land! I practically grew up in the place and remember many Christmases there. I live in the midwest but recently, we spent one glorious year in my So. Cal. hometown. First thing on the to-do list was Annual Passes for ALL! My kids finally got a taste of what it was like to wake-up and say, "Hey, let's ditch school and go to Disneyland today!" Thanks for the great pics!
