Happy 2009!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! Mine was spent with family; going in and out of town, visiting relatives that we don't usually get to see, delivering goody plates to friends and neighbors, attending different Christmas parties, and all the usual events that the holidays bring.. that of course leave us with no extra time! I apologize I did not have time to announce the winner of the Pink Christmas giveaway on the blog, but I did however contact the winner. The lucky winner drawn was Sara of Vintage Scrap Bin. Thanks to all those who participated and I promise there will be more to come!

Happy Summer!!

I am SO excited June is here! Can you believe it is basically summer already!? I feel like it was just the 4th of July a few months ago! I just wanted to share some of my new Shabby Addict 4th of July/summer goodies with everyone! Not everything is on the website yet, so if you are interested in any of the items, just email me! I will also be doing a give-away next week, so watch for that! Am I doing a lot of exclamation marks in this post? Sorry, but I just get so excited!! ; )












I am so excited to be starting so many new projects this summer- I can barely contain myself! I have a whole summer "to do" list that I will finally be able to start in the next few weeks. Some of those things include painting and sewing seat covers for my antique cane back chairs, refinishing a cute little nightstand/dresser that I purchased on Craigslist over a month ago, and creating a new headboard for our bed!

I am also looking forward to the July issue of Romantic Home as it will be a special "bed and bath" edition! It will only be sold in the stands so be sure to pick it up! I am hoping it will inspire new ideas for the new home!!

Spring Prints

I am working today on listing these new prints on the website... listing products is so time consuming! But I have to admit, I kind of enjoy it... KIND of... I have absolutely fallen in love with these pictures because they just make me feel like Spring! I used to be a "summer lovin" kind of girl (probably because I grew up in Southern California) but I have slowly converted over to loving spring even more than summer. Summer may offer vacations but Spring offers vibrant and fresh colors, crisp warm weather, birth of new flowers, gardens, and fabulous spring decorating for cryin' out loud!

Good Ol' Old Town

Isn't this little lamp adorable? I thought it would go perfectly on top of the buffet I just painted! My husband poked at the fact that I called it "milk glass". Of course, us Shabby Women all know the correct term for this type of glass, but apparently to a dentist it is gibberish. So I just told him that I think flossing is gibberish. I think that got him. The frame next to it was another project I just finished. It's listed for sale on shabbyaddict.com!
