Chairs, Chairs, and More Chairs!

Wow! I didn't realize how much work goes into reupholstering until this last chair project I decided to undertake. I thought reupholstering would be a great thing to learn so I could always feel a little bit more confident when wanting to purchase certain items of furniture.. but boy oh boy, I don't know if I will ever do another chair like this one again! Thank goodness for an extremely talented and patient mother-in-law (and husband!) who helped with the entire process!

DURING:

We took the ugly (yes, ugly.. as ugly as it gets) material from off the cushion and went to use it as a pattern for the new fabric and as soon as we turned our backs for one minute, look who turned our project into a cozy little retreat!

And it looks like Winston found a better spot to nap... no wonder our strawberries are totally dead right now!! Little rascal...

They look great - such beautiful fabric. I'm very impressed with all of your talents. I could never attempt reupholstering anything. It's also cute that your hubby helped out. :)

Oo- la-la! Sooo pretty! I've never been brave enough to try re- upholstering something and now you talked me right out of it! Ha-ha! I'm glad you were brave enough, though!

I Saw you over at Priscila's and thought I'd come say "Hi!"

We met before through my devotional blog but now I have a girl blog, too. Hope you can come see me sometime.

You've done a beautiful job on both chairs! I'm especially lovin' that French style chair! I have one just like that and it needs reupholstering in a big way!
Thank you for entering the giveaway! Good luck to you! :)

What a fabulous job!!! Those chairs look amazing, I've always wanted to recover but am always afraid I'm going to ruin the entire chair with my reupholstering lack of knowledge.

Thanks for sharing!

Those are incredible transformations! Really beautiful. Do you have any idea how much money you could make doing that for other people? I bet a lot!

may have been a lot of work, but look at the results! Lovely fabric! And thanks for including the dog pictures...if there is one thing animals can show us, it is how to find the comfiest spots to sleep!
