Finally got around to posting pictures of the finished chair! Found the chair at an estate sale.. couldn't pass it up! The fabric I recovered it in is the same fabric I used on the prism lamp 2 posts back. Do you think I should paint the chair frame or leave it peeling gold? I can't decide!!

To paint or not to paint???

That's a difficult question. It looks so lovely the color that it is...you did a great job reupholstering it. What color would you paint it? I'm guessing white...I'm a sucker for white painted furniture....I'm sorry, I'm no help. I'm sure whatever you decided it'll be beautiful. Let us know what you decided.

I paint everything white, but in this case I wouldn't touch it. It is so lovely just the way it is. Whatever you do with it will be beautiful. I love the cover.

Hello from germany,
I love this chair and your upholstering. I also love the colour white but I think this chair looks very beautiful with the golden colour so I would decide not to paint it. I think a golden chair would be very pretty to your other furnitures.
nice greetings from germany,

Usually I would say paint it white, however I think that it has so much character with the peeling gold paint!
Hello. I just found your blog and I have been visiting your different posts. I love the redo on the chair. I hope you don't mind me following along your blog. Come visit me sometime.

Just found your blog! Love that chair! I'm going to go against the majority here and vote for you to paint it white! Either way it is beautiful!

I love it! I think I would like it painted. However, it is also great "as-is"!
Love the fabric ... don't paint ... perfect 'as is'
You did a beautiful job of replacing the fabric. I think you should leave the chair as it is in the pic. It is quite a loud but graceful contrast to the stark white paint. Lovely! Just lovely.
